Legenda, anotação ou marcas no documento: “ORGANIZING COMMITTEE OF THE GAMES OF THE XIX OLYMPIAD – DEPARTAMENT OF PHOTOGRAPHY – Photographer: Francisco Uribe – Photo: 6053 – MEXICAN OLYMPIC SPORTS CENTER-DIVING POOL- Architects: Department of Architecture of the Ministry of Public Works. - Location: Avenida del Conscripto and Anillo Periférico, Mexico City. - Date of construction: November 1965 to September 1966. - Rapid thoroughfares: Anillo Periférico freeway. - Distance to Olympic Village: 12.7 miles. - Public transportation: buses. - Use during the Games of the XIX Olympiad: diving trainings. - The diving pool is located in a building next to the swimming pool and fencing hall, joined to the swimming pool by a covered walk. Its roof is a parabolic structure covered with asbestos, except the center which is of translucent plastic, providing perfect daytime visibility. The walls are of concrete columns with brick facing. It has adequate artificial illumination; offices; a diving tower with platforms at 3, 6 and 10 meters, and stands for 624 spectators. The dressing rooms, showers and lavatories are those that service the adjoining pool. Its dimensions, equally adequate for water polo competitions, are 30 meters long by 22 meters wide and 3.50 to 5 meters deep.”
